Local primary school children and communities attended a free BVOF open air lunchtime recital and were treated to Baldwin’s Ice Cream in Lismore, Co. Waterford – as part of Ireland’s Summer Opera Festival (May 31 – June 6, 2022), featuring 19 events over seven days.
This year’s festival highlights include Gluck’s popular opera, Orfeo ed Euridice in the grounds of Lismore Castle, Irish Baroque Orchestra, CoisCéim Dance Theatre, concerts and recitals featuring Giovanni Bellucci, Maurice Steger, free open air recitals in Lismore, Dungarvan, Youghal and Fermoy, and a BVOF Voices of Ukraine recital with all ticket proceeds to UNICEF.
