Discover Opera is an immersive opera experience for primary school children to learn, explore and discover the world of opera, in partnership with Blackwater Valley Opera Festival and Music Generation Waterford.
Children explore music, story, set-design, costume, cast and crew through a series of workshops and the opera trail in Lismore Castle Gardens during the festival week, and on festival week led by a team of professional musicians, performers and music educators.
Ireland’s Summer Opera Festival joyfully engages audiences with a creative and imaginative programme of opera, classical music recitals and concerts, schools and free events each year, at fantastic venues throughout the beautiful Blackwater Valley.
