Concerts 2025 – Ireland’s Summer Opera Festival
We are delighted to present a pair of unmissable concerts for 2025 at Dromore Yard, in Aglish, County Waterford: When Birds Do Sing with Niamh O’Sullivan and Gary Beecher, and Baroque Hits with Paula Murrihy and the Irish Baroque Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas McGegan.
The BVOF Concert Series takes place at Dromore Yard – a romantic, restored 19th century farm on the banks of the River Blackwater. Charming outbuildings and courtyards set the scene for sold out concert series each year, with the concert venue lending itself naturally to fine acoustics and stunning views.

Concert at Dromore Yard with Niamh O’Sullivan and Gary Beecher. A musical celebration of birds, their songs, and the natural world.
Irish mezzo-soprano Niamh O’Sullivan is praised for her “bewitchingly beautiful, dark vibrant voice” (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and is a 2023-2025 BBC New Generation Artist and former studio member of the Bayerische Staatsoper. Gary Beecher is one of Ireland’s most versatile pianists, with a varied career as a soloist, chamber musician, accompanist, vocal coach, orchestral pianist, musical director and educator.

Festival Finale Concert of BVOF 2025 at Dromore Yard, with Paula Murrihy and the Irish Baroque Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas McGegan, long hailed as “one of the finest Baroque conductors of his generation” (The Independent).
Irish mezzo-soprano Paula Murrihy has appeared on the world’s major stages including Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera, Opéra de Paris, the Bolshoi Theatre, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Opernhaus Zürich and the Salzburg Festival.
The Olivier Award-winning Irish Baroque Orchestra is celebrated as Ireland’s flagship period instrument orchestra and delivers world-class historically informed performances across Ireland and abroad.
