BVOF in Singapore

A very special BVOF thanks to Dr Stanley Quek, Pamela Sprekley and The Ireland Funds team in Singapore, Irish Embassy Singapore, LASALLE College of the Arts and St. Joseph’s Institution for hosting BVOF artists for BVOF in Singapore, November 2023. As well as performing at The Emerald Ball at St Regis Hotel Singapore, BVOF artists also performed at the Irish Ambassador to Ireland’s residence, at open air performance in LASALLE College of the Arts, and at St.Josephs Institution with workshops and performances for students. The flagship Emerald Ball Winter Wonderland gala fundraiser on 25th November 2023 at St Regis Singapore, brought together friends and supporters of The Ireland Funds Singapore for a wonderful evening of fine dining, entertainment, and warm friendship, all while raising funds for 2024 beneficiaries. This year funds were raised for programmes and projects with partner organisations supporting Persons with Autism, and Caregivers in 2024. Blackwater Valley Opera Festival performers pictured include: Kelli-Ann Masterson – Soprano, Amy Gillen – Flutist, Patrick Hyland – Tenor, Máire Carroll – piano, and Rory Dunne – Bass Baritone.

The Ireland Funds Singapore was founded in June 2009 with the objective of further developing the long historical relationship between Singapore and Ireland through the growing international network of The Ireland Funds. That network now extends to 40 cities across 12 countries (including China and Japan). The Chairman is Dr. Stanley Quek, a former Honorary Consul General of Ireland in Singapore.  The Ireland Funds Singapore has raised more than $6 million for worthy charity organisations in Singapore since 2009. These funds have supported community projects – including children and adults with special needs or intellectual needs, disadvantaged youth, women at risk, the elderly and their carers, and those requiring palliative care – as well as projects in education, arts and culture and sport.
