The 2025 BVOF Bursary Award recital at Tourin House in Waterford, celebrated soprano Aimee Kearney and pianist Georgina Cassidy, recipients of this year’s bursary awards.
After the recital, Conor Doyle spoke on behalf of Conor and Mareta Doyle, whose continued generosity ensures the BVOF Bursary programme runs from 2023 to 2027.
Since its creation in 2020, the bursary has offered vital freedom and support to young artists at a crucial stage in their careers. The 2025 recital once again reflected the strength and potential of emerging Irish talent.
The next chapter continues in 2026, when new BVOF Bursary winners will be announced during Ireland’s Summer Opera Festival – 26 May to 1 June 2026.
