We had a very special recital of ‘Joyce in Music’ at the festival this year, in collaboration with Royal Irish Academy of Music and Princess Grace Irish Library – under the aegis of Fondation Princesse Grace
You may have caught the acclaimed actor Barry McGovern in the Abbey Theatre this week reading Ulysses to mark the centenary of its publication. We were delighted to have him at the 2022 festival along with soprano Caroline Behan, tenor Andrew Gavin and pianist Márie Carroll for an afternoon of spoken word and music from the texts of James Joyce at the beautiful St Carthage’s Cathedral in Lismore, Co. Waterford.
