We are delighted to announce that tickets for the 2025 Blackwater Valley Opera Festival are now available exclusively to our members, Friends of BVOF.
Benjamin Britten – A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Set against the magical backdrop of Lismore Castle, this year’s headline opera will be performed on 28, 30, 31 May and 1 June. Directed by Patrick Mason, the production will feature the Irish Chamber Orchestra conducted by David Brophy.
Henry Purcell – Dido and Aeneas
Performed in nearby St Carthage’s Cathedral, Lismore – our second opera will take place on 27 and 29 May, and feature Paula Murrihy, Dean Murphy, and Kelli-Ann Masterson, with the Irish Baroque Orchestra under the direction of Nicholas McGegan,
When Birds Do Sing – A musical celebration of birds, their songs, and the natural world with Niamh O’Sullivan and Gary Beecher.
Baroque Hits – Festival Finale Concert of BVOF 2025 at Dromore Yard, with Paula Murrihy and the Irish Baroque Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas McGegan
